HENRY TOWNHOUSES
The sister project to the Holland Townhouses, the same base unit module was utilized as a starting point and adapted to this site to capitalize on efficiency in order to keep these homes affordable. For this through block lot, facing SE Henry on the north and SE Duke on the south, the concept was to give each of these attached townhouses as much of the feeling of being a detached single family house as possible in order to fit in with the surrounding neighborhood. Adding a single story extension off the back corner of each unit, uniting them at the center of the site, allowed them to meet the definition of attached houses, while allowing the mass of each home to read independently. The bonus room was envisioned as a home office space in order to better adapt our homes to the work-from-home era.
